I haven't been blogging in a while because so much has been going on that has been confidential but yesterday, we finally got the official offer and last week Drostan put in his notice. We have felt for a long time that we are just not needed in Boise anymore and this isn't where we would finally settle. It's been very frustrating to be almost 3 years out of school and still not feel settled. In early January, Drostan felt very prompted to talk to a cousin and a very good friend and through some pretty miraculous circumstances, we found out about a practice for sale in Eastern Idaho and in early Feb. he went over for an interview. Since there are a couple of other docs who will be staying, it wasn't just a normal buy out but a buy in so they were looking at a few guys for the position. From the second we heard about this, we knew it was where we were supposed to be. Drostan had received a blessing from our amazing bishop that had told him that he would know, without a doubt, when the opportunity came up and boy did we feel that confirmation. Now, we just needed to go through the motions and be patient and have faith that they would feel that same confirmation and chose him. It's been a tough 2 months waiting for all of this to play out but yesterday we got the call that all of the docs and the office manager unanimously had decided that Drostan was the perfect man for the practice. We are so excited. They don't need him until mid-July so we have a few months to settle things here in Boise and try to sell our house. (If anyone knows of anyone who would like a great 4 bed 2.5 bath home for sale or rent, PLEASE let us know!!!) As soon as the patient base is told, probably in June, then I can announce the actual city. We are so excited to be over closer to where Drostan grew up and in a small town where the kids can have so many fun adventures and we can be in a place that really needs dentists, not a city like Boise where it is an amazing place to live, but there are just too many dentists here.
Oh, and we put an offer in on a home yesterday too. Wish us luck that we can get that one and sell this one ASAP! Thanks!
